Andrea has a dance background consisting of training in ballet, jazz, modern, folk dance and clogging. Her initial training was in ballet at The Dance Company, where she graduated from the ballet program. Andrea joined the Highland Dance Company as a Freshman and was elected an officer for two years. She then attended BYU where she trained as a composite dance major for two years. Andrea has also studied piano and music extensively and has a B.S. in Human Development from the University of Utah.
Andrea has attended several dance workshops and classes all over the country, including New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Chicago. She has found pleasure in using her dance background to perform professionally in musicals. Among her favorites have been The Music Man (Zaneeta), The Grand Theatre's Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Sarah), The Grant Theatre's Carousel (dancer), August Night Theatre Group's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (dancer), The Grand Theatre's Oklahoma! (dancer), and Hale Centre Theatre's The King & I (dancer). Andrea has been teaching at The Dance Company for over ten years and loves the challenge and art of teaching.
