Jayne began her dance training at age 4 at The Dance Company, where she continued for 15 years in various styles. Jayne was selected to dance as a soloist in multiple concerts during her time with The Dance Company. As a member of The Dance Company's Ballet Theatre Company & Jazzworks, she participated in several dance competitions all over Utah. Jayne has earned many awards from solo competitions each year and also won the photogenic award. Jayne has traveled many summers with The Dance Company to Los Angeles to dance at the Edge, and to New York to dance at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, and Alvin Ailey dance studio. She also performed in the opening number of the New York City Rockettes Christmas performance in 2010. Jayne was a member of Highland High's dance company for 3 years and choreographed a total of 8 dances throughout those years. She was elected Vice President her senior year and was given a dance scholarship of $1,500 for her talent. Jayne was recently selected a member of the pre-professional dance company,
Expansion, directed by Bonnie Story. She plans to dance for the rest of her life, whether it's through dancing professionally, choreographing or teaching.
