Lauri began dancing in her living room long before any formal training!  At age three she danced briefly with Virginia Tanner and then began pre-ballet classes with Dixie Clegg at the age of four. She also studied ballet with Jean Renee and Miki Casalino.  Her training was augmented with modern dance as a member of East High Dance Company under the direction of Connie Jo Hepworth.  At the University of Utah she majored in Elementary Education and studied ballet with Bene Arnold and Barbara Hamblin.

Lauri has taught ballet, aerobic dance and creative dance at The Dance Company.  She is the mother of six and the grandmother of three, one of which she now teaches at TDC!
