Lyrical dance is a contemporary fusion of ballet and jazz technique, performed with a poetic, expressive quality.  The choreography is a combination of intricate, highly technical, and pedestrian/naturalistic movements.  A solid, ballet-based technique is an essential component of this advanced style of dance; therefore, enrollment in ballet & jazz technique is required for students enrolling in Lyrical.
