Hilary Murray grew up in Sacramento, CA and began dancing at the age of four. She has been in performing companies since she was eight and as a young adult was a member of Dance Theatre West in Sacramento, CA. She taught dance for six years at Broadway Academy, teaching tap, jazz, ballet, creative movement, and ran the Hot Tots performing company. In 2003 she opened The Dance Connection in Gold River, CA, where she was owner/director for three years. In 2005 she graduated from Cal State-Sacramento with her BA in Child Development. She then decided to sell her studio and move to Utah, where over the next four years she taught a variety of classes as well as ran the competition/performing teams at Progressions Dance Academy. During this time she also received her MS in Youth Development.

From 2010-2014, Hilary was running the children’s program at CORA, a domestic violence agency in San Mateo, CA. While in the Bay Area she also taught at Rana’s Academy of Dance in San Mateo and subbed at studios throughout San Francisco. Currently, Hilary is also owner and director of Tiny Toes Dance, a company that provides dance instruction to children in elementary schools, preschools and daycares all across the Salt Lake valley.

Hilary and her husband Aaron have three beautiful little girls who also love to dance. Hilary's passion is working with and inspiring children and she is thrilled to continue sharing her love of dance at The Dance Company.
